The Dartmouth Investment and Philanthropy Program (DIPP) is proud to present our 2025 Stock Pitch Competition.

More than 800 students from 90 schools across the globe competed in last year’s event. A recording of the final round can be found here.

Registration closes January 5, 2025.


General Information

    • All events will be hosted virtually on Zoom.

    • Teams must be composed of 3-4 undergraduates. Team members can be from different colleges.

    • Teams must pitch a long investment on a NASDAQ or NYSE listed stock.

    • Decks must be limited to a maximum of 15 slides with an accompanying financial model.

    • Registration closes 11:59 PM ET, Sunday, January 5.

    • Please submit (max) 15-slide presentations along with accompanying financial models through the pitch submission form above by 11:59 PM ET, Saturday, January 11.

    • Teams must have previously registered by the January 5 deadline for their pitches to be considered.

    • Late submissions will not be accepted.

  • Dartmouth College is requiring that all presentation materials and recommendations be based only on information that is available publicly. Any submissions containing Material Nonpublic Information (MNPI) will be automatically disqualified.


Virtual Schedule

    • Participants submit their (max) 15-slide deck and accompanying financial model to DIPP by 11:59 PM ET on January 11, 2025.

    • The DIPP Investment Committee reviews submissions and decides on the top 16 teams invited to Round 2.

    • Round 2 participants are notified and given time to modify their submission.

    • Top freshman-only teams that do not make it to Round 2 will invited to the Freshman Showcase on January 25.

    • 16 teams will present virtually to investment professionals from sponsor firms on January 19, 2025 from 1-3 PM ET. Each team will have 15 minutes to present and 10 minutes for Q&A.

    • Updated decks and models must be submitted to DIPP by 11:59 PM ET on January 17, 2025.

    • 4 teams will advance to the Finals based on presentation, investment rationale, and financial analysis.

    • Top freshman-only teams that do not progress from the Semifinals will be invited to the Freshman Showcase Round.

    • The 4 finalist teams will present at a virtual event open to the public on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 2-4 PM ET.

    • A panel of senior investors from sponsor firms will judge the teams, who each have 15 minutes to present and 10 minutes for questions.

    • The Freshman Showcase Round is open to teams comprised entirely of freshmen. It will run concurrently with the final round from 2-4PM ET on January 25, 2025.

    • The Freshman Showcase Round will be judged by sponsors with a demonstrated interest in attracting freshman and sophomore talent.

  • Investment professionals from our 11 sponsor firms have agreed to host one-on-one virtual coffee chats during and after the competition. Finalists are guaranteed this opportunity, and other competitors will be selected based on invites from sponsors if space is available.


Prizes

  • A total of $6,000 in cash prizes has been generously provided by our sponsors. Prizes will be distributed to participants that advance to the final round or the freshman showcase.

  • Yes.

  • In advance of internship and full-time recruiting in 2025/26, our sponsors would like to identify talented students across various campuses. Your resume will not be considered as part of the competition judging process.

  • No. All events will be hosted virtually over Zoom.

  • Initial submissions (Round 1 screening) will be judged by DIPP Investment Committee members. Semifinalists will be judged by investment professionals at sponsor firms. Both the Freshman Showcase and Finals will be judged by a panel of senior investors from sponsor firms.

  • The title (cover) slide is excluded from the 15-slide limit. Appendix slides in a separate section are also excluded, but please keep these to a reasonable length.

  • Brief appendix slides placed in a separate section at the end will not count towards the 15 slide limit. Appendices are not guaranteed to be evaluated during the competition. The first 15 slides should represent a complete pitch.

  • Yes. Top freshman-only teams will either be sent directly to the Freshman Showcase or invited to the Semifinals. Those invited to the Semifinals but not progressing to Finals will be automatically invited to the Freshman Showcase.
